The MARS Program
Developing Managers
Building effective managers in the workplace
I wrote this course to avoid the loss of good staff, particularly recently promoted staff, in the workplace.
All too often I have witnessed “the next best person” promoted to a new role. Once the honeymoon period is over (and unless they were a unique and natural manager) they copped everything that the team and on occasions an unruly team could throw at them.
Combine this with a distinct lack of management support and their own management network and the new manager certainly struggled or at times gave up. The cost to you was the loss of a good staff member, you still need to find a new manager/supervisor and go through the process all over again. On top of that the ‘negative’ element of the team is feeling pretty proud and is more than likely just waiting to see who is brave or innocent enough to take on the new role.
So here we go again. This is why I wrote the MARS course, it is fundamentally based on enabling your new managers to build their management strength, networks and personal resilience.
If you would like this program conducted in your workplace contact me to discuss how it could work for you and what sort of measures you would like to achieve?
